Arts-Based Workshops

How poetry, drama, and storytelling became part of MH-COST's research — and gave young people a new way to share their experiences of statelessness.

Eight Workshops, One Goal

As part of Phase 3 of our research, we are running a series of eight arts-based workshops with a sub-sample of young participants (15–20 per group), delivered in collaboration with professional artists and community facilitators.

Why Arts-Based Methods

Why We Work This Way

Creative, arts-based approaches allow young people to express experiences that can be difficult to put into conventional research language — offering a richer, more human understanding of statelessness and belonging. Insights from these workshops directly inform our co-produced mental health resources and youth-led awareness campaign.
